As we all know, Thanksgiving is a time for coming together, however with a country divided and differing opinions causing tension, the holiday dinner table can often be a place of conflict instead of togetherness. Join us, along with the ListenFirst Coalition, for an exclusive, virtual screening of the acclaimed new documentary My Omaha, screening online the day before Thanksgiving, November 26 at 4pm PST/ 7pm EST. The film runs 85 minutes long.
This one-night-only virtual screening event will show the movie about filmmaker Nick Beaulieu's personal journey to document the activism of his hometown and reconcile with his terminally ill father Randy, a staunch pro-Trump supporter. Guided by the wisdom of community activist Leo Louis II, Nick navigates the complexities of family conflict, political and racial discord, and the difficult search for common ground.
Feel free to talk with the other audience members in a live chat during the screening, and after, use our family focused discussion guide to continue the conversation and try to connect without judgement, coming together with those you love during the holidays.
