Join us for a special Premier Screening of The Cholesterol Code.
When computer-scientist Dave Feldman reversed his pre-diabetes with a ketogenic diet, he was excited about finally finding a way to significantly improve his health. A routine follow-up blood-test showed all biomarkers were excellent except one: he had an elevated LDL. He found himself confronted with warnings of catastrophic heart failure. Now, as Dave continues to seek for answers to understand his personal health situation, he discovers that he is not alone with his concerns and in his quest.
The Cholesterol Code — a documentary that explores individuals seeking to improve their own health and the obstacles they encountered and persevered to overcome. We will hear their stories and follow them as they face their fears and are confronted by long-held beliefs about cholesterol, heart disease, and metabolic health.
Our original plan was to bring this to Rice University to share with our student research teams as it applies to their work on wearable multi-molecule sensors. When we reached out to the team at GATHR, they graciously said they would make special accommodations to bring it to the Rice University campus and surrounding community.
Join us on Tuesday, March 31 at 7:00 PM in the beautiful Hudspeth Auditorium in the Anderson-Clarke Center at Rice University for this special pre-screening of The Cholesterol Code.
We have three ticket tiers:
Students Free - All Rice students and any students from the surrounding community are welcome to come for free.
General Admission $15 - Everyone else, staff, faculty, and non-students from the surrounding community.
Special Contribution $50 - If you would like to donate a bit more, you have this special contribution tier for your tickets. The money we raise will go back to Rice University to provide support for this event and support for our student research teams who are working in this field.
