Ethics and Accountability - Deep Dive (60 min)
In this session we will begin creating an accountability audit and integrate learnings into your film's production. Together we will strengthen your film by enhancing transparency, empowering film team members, participants and the communities impacted by your film while promoting safe and ethical practices for everyone involved.
Further sessions may include:
- facilitated conversations with a network of experts from journalism, activism, advocacy, and media / film to collectively identify comprehensive solutions, resources, and partners for your specific ethical and safety challenges e.g. how to work with issues outside of your lived experience, how to navigate consent when interviewing minors, or how to interview people who have undergone trauma.
- building an accountability plan and checkpoints for progress, creating written agreements for collaborators to ensure ethical alignment, and/or brainstorming language, messaging and perspective in your work.
