Meet Aneri Shah, an Indian-American writer, film director, and comedian who is making waves in the entertainment industry by bringing South Asian women and other first-generation women of color into mainstream media. Aneri's directorial debut, I'm Doing My Job, is a powerful feature documentary that follows the personal lives of six South Asian and Black female ER physicians in NYC during the pandemic. Through poignant storytelling and intimate interviews, the film explores themes of motherhood and work, dissociation, dating during a pandemic, and the resilience of women of color in times of crisis. I'm Doing My Job officially premiered at the Portland Film Festival in October 2022.
