I am an independent Access Artist with a focus as a captioner and audio describer, with a background in documentary film and theater for civic engagement. I'm a 2017 AIR New Voices Scholar, 2020 DOC NYC Documentary New Leader, 2023 Rockwood Documentary Leaders Fellow, Co-op Member and former Digital Operations Lead at New Day Films, a member of the Social Audio Description Collective, and former co-host of Blind-Centered Audio Description Chat. I bring my lived experience with multiple invisible disabilities and chronic illness to creating media that explores politically and culturally engaged stories from cross-disability communities with creative access at the heart of all of my work.

The Advanced Audio Description Consultation is ideal at the assembly or early rough cut stage of post-production. This is for filmmakers who already are committed to adding audio description to their film and are interested in how they can edit the work in progress so that the AD can be integrated seamlessly after picture lock. I will watch your film in progress over Zoom and live audio describe it to a skilled blind audio description consultant. Afterward, I generate a report with our suggestions around pacing, sound design, audio transitions, VO and narration timing, use of b-roll, and questions to consider in the edit. Consultations have regularly led to small yet significant changes that allow for smoother scene transitions and more time for immersive and creative AD writing.
