Screenwriter of Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and others. Decent cook, D&D enthusiast and mini painter, terrible gardener.
Originally from West Bend, Wisconsin, David earned a Bachelors Degree in English - Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin. After serving as Deputy Editor of The Madison Review, David redirected his classical narrative storytelling training to the canvas of screen-writing, and moved to Los Angeles to further pursue the craft. He has since written a number of original screenplays, including the critically acclaimed, cult favorite horror-satire Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, directed by Scott Glosserman. David is also one of three subjects in the Mercury Productions documentary Dreams on Spec, by filmmaker Daniel Snyder, which showcases the trials and tribulations of pursuing a screen-writing career in Hollywood.
