Jade Leatham is a Dominica-raised writer and director who believes that stories reach people faster than policies ever will. Her work centers on nation-building through Caribbean storytelling, cultural pride, and reclaiming regional narratives through a Caribbean gaze.
Her directorial debut, Rebel & Jango: Act 1, received support from the Ministry of Tourism of Dominica and serves as a proof of concept for a larger three-part series exploring inherited resistance and identity. Jade is also an award-winning author of the Mirror Series and the recipient of the Elizabeth Nunez Caribbean American Writer Award for Jungle Siren, now evolving into her Indigenous romantasy series Warlike. In 2025, she was selected as a Duke of Edinburgh Commonwealth Emerging Leaders (CCLD) Delegate, recognizing her leadership in cultural development and creative nation-building.
