Shaune Bordere JD, BS is a sustainable energy and solid-state battery innovator who is successfully raising over $35 billion to provide affordable clean energy with her zero emission, zero waste utility-scale electrical power generation systems for her company SRL Motors, Inc. Shaune is a Screenwriter, Author & Executive Producer originally from New Orleans, Louisiana who has written, directed and produced the animated early desegregation drama 'Pivotal Powerful Journey' that she adapted from her 2017 novel 'Action Words: Journey of a Journalist' and a collection of her Grandmother Ora Mae Lewis' articles and short stories. The movie and novel are based upon the historic triumphs of Ora & US Senator Huey P. Long to fight Jim Crow segregation. 'Pivotal Powerful Journey' tells the remarkable story of the stance taken by Ora against the early Holocaust and her desegregation of the entire City of New Orleans in 1938. The movie is complete and it will be released theatrically worldwide exclusively by Shaune's production company Studio Releasing.
Shaune wrote and directed an adapted video game in 2020 entitled 'Adventures of the Underworld,' championing the cause of ocean conservation. She is the 2021 winner of the CIFA Award for Best Game for this release. Shaune competed for a Nicholl Fellowship Academy Award with the story's screenplay for which she received very positive reviews. Shaune will direct and produce the movie with animation. She has written 'The Literal Edge,' a major action movie on the environment and world peace. This movie is the first of several planned on the lead extraordinary character Sparrow Olivia Banks. Shaune will also soon direct and produce 'The Literal Edge' with animation. Shaune's major environmental drama TV series 'Powerful' is the first of its kind to juxtapose White House politics with environmental disasters. A leading studio has offered to fund and distribute the series. Shaune earned Official Selection and Finalist recognition from Pinewood Studio's Lift-Off Sessions Global Network as the Writer and Director of her environmental documentary 'Parallel Policy' on May 6, 2020. The film was released theatrically. Shaune executive produced a comedy that was shortlisted twice for Best Original Song and Best Original Score Academy Awards in 2016.
Shaune began writing for television in the Spring of 1999 as a Xavier University of Louisiana Junior. Her writing of each talk show episode of a campus hit was well received by the city's cable access network and the community as a whole. Shaune's studies at Xavier followed her attendance at the University of Maryland at College Park as a Maryland Distinguished Scholar and National Achievement Scholar. Shaune earned a Columbia Scholastic Press Association of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism award in 1996 for her coverage of the conflict in Rwanda. She actively volunteered for organizations such as the School for International Training in Ghana, Arthur Ashe, Jr. TransAfrica Forum Library and an African Diaspora organization in Washington, DC. Shaune matriculated into the University of Maryland as a full time college Freshman biology major at the age of 16. She graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2000. Shaune earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2003 as the youngest African American woman to do so.
Through a series of efforts to contribute to several foundations, Shaune began planning, researching and writing a film on Ora M. Lewis for a small National Endowment for The Humanities Grant in 2011 that led to the development of the drama 'Journey of a Journalist.' She announced the movie and her new environmental documentary during the 2014 Cannes Film Festival Marché Du Film. A dedicated Environmentalist, Shaune produced an Earth Day awareness campaign that was aired by Bloomberg Television, Disney XD, ESPN, NFL Network, CNBC, The Tennis Channel and Fox News Channel from April 18th through April 22, 2012, to over one million viewers.
