FILM AND TELEVISION EXECUTIVE WITH 20+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
Stephen Emery currently holds the title of Head of Film & TV at leading Hollywood production company and financier, The Solution Entertainment Group. TSEG is a full service production, finance, and sales company making 3-5 movies a year. Since January 2016, he has helped target, develop, package, and produce a wide slate for both film and television. He has Co- Executive produced WHEELMAN directed by Jeremy Rush starring Frank Grillo for Netflix, has Executive Produced KILLERMAN directed by Malik Bader starring Liam Hemsworth and Emory Cohen, LIVE! directed by Steven C. Miller starring Aaron Eckhart, and HONEST THIEF directed by Mark Williams starring Liam Neeson.
From January 2008 through the end of 2015, Emery served as Executive Vice President of Production and Development at Circle of Confusion where he was instrumental in building the feature film and television production slate. Emery Executive Produced the action- comedy MR RIGHT directed by Paco Cabezas starring Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell, the action-thriller WAKE directed by John Pogue starring Bruce Willis, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Ellen Burstyn, and the low budget horror film SATANIC directed by Jeff Hunt starring Sarah Hyland.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Emery has dual citizenship and currently holds both a U.S. and U.K. passport. He got his B.A. in Mass Communications with an emphasis towards Film & Television at The University of San Diego with a minor in Business Administration where he was a member of the NCAA division 1 FCS Varsity Football Team.
Emery started his career at Creative Artists Agency where he worked in the motion picture talent department for 3 years before segueing into production. He left CAA for DreamWorks and then moved to Focus Features at the company’s inception having worked on ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and 21 GRAMS, among other films. He was then brought in as a production executive at Gale Anne Hurd's Valhalla Motion Pictures where he oversaw AEON FLUX for Paramount Pictures. He followed that up by accepting a job running Bill Gerber’s company at Warner Bros. where they produced MAJOR MOVIE STAR for Avi Lerner’s Millennium Films and Clint Eastwood’s GRAN TORINO for Warner Bros.
