Troy Weekes Music, hailing from Harlem New York, has been singing since the age of 3 and performing since the age of 14. Not only does he sing, but he's a songwriter, actor and dancer. Four years ago, he added the title of 'Emcee' to his list of credits after being the regular Monday Night host for JWE Karaoke at the Flatiron Hotel (Formerly Toshi's Living Room). His first TV debut was on Showtime at the Apollo in 2005,where he was named "Runner Up" on his episode. A few years later, he made it to the Top 3 of the American Idol style show 'Empire City's Lucky Break 2'. When not working on his own projects, he can be seen performing at open mics and talent showcases all across America. He also sings background and does vocal arrangement for a variety of different artists. Troy has performed as a background vocalist behind the likes of Mariah Carey and Karen Clark-Sheard, just to name a few.He is currently working on his first EP project, with the premiere single and music video 'Trying So Hard', to be released in early 2017. His music is under a new genre and style he created called 'Soul & B'. It took him 14 years to find this sound. Troy sings Gospel, Neo-Soul and R&B music. Because his sound embodies the best qualities in each of these styles, he created his own genre called 'Soul & B' to avoid being labeled by just one of these genres.
