ABOUT THE MOVIE AND DIRECTOR OLIVER STONE

Beneath our feet, Uranium atoms in the Earth’s crust hold incredibly concentrated energy. Science unlocked this energy in the mid-20th century, and the United States led the effort to generate electricity from this new source. Yet, a long-term PR campaign to scare the public began that would sow fear about harmless low-level radiation and create confusion between nuclear weapons and nuclear power.

With unprecedented access to the nuclear industry in France, Russia, and the United States, iconic director Oliver Stone explores the possibility for the global community to overcome challenges and reach a brighter future through the power of nuclear energy.

"This is, in my mind, the greatest story of our time -- discussing humanity’s arc from poverty to prosperity and its mastery of science to overcome the modern demand for more and more energy.
- Oliver Stone, April 2023

ABOUT THE TEXAS NUCLEAR ALLIANCE

The Texas Nuclear Alliance is comprised of nuclear leaders across the State of Texas. The goal is to educate Texans on the advancements in the nuclear technology realm over the last four decades, pointing to the benefits of zero carbon emissions and reliable, affordable power while also reaching beyond — addressing food security and diagnosing diseases sooner. By bringing together the leaders in new nuclear, we believe that Texas can and will become the home of the peaceful and productive uses of nuclear technology.

ABOUT THE AMERICAN CONSERVATION COALITION

The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing young people around environmental action through common-sense, market-based, and limited-government ideals. ACC was founded in June 2017 by a group of Millennials who saw an ideological gap in the environmental movement preventing necessary bipartisan action.

ACC believes economic and environmental success go hand-in-hand, and that everyone should feel empowered to take a seat at the table in discussions concerning conservation, clean energy, sportsmen’s rights, agriculture, climate, and much more. ACC seeks to activate young people that are tired of partisan inaction on the grassroots, state, and federal levels -- bringing forth prosperous action on environmental issues that impact us all.
